Brake light stays on...'95

My '95 blew a rear brake line yesterday. Today I replaced the line and bled the system without any problems, but now the brake light wont go out. I disconnected the battery hoping it reset itself, but it didn't. Any ideas?

when you say brake light...are you talking about the ABS light? if not, is the brake fluid reservoir full?

It was the light on the dash. (Sorry it took so long to respond) It must have gone out on its own; I don't remember doing anything else to the van. Now here I am again with the same exact problem but this time it's on a 2001. Isn’t life a kick in the head...

What color is the light? amber or red? Have you checked the brake fluid level? Are the brakes working properly. Possible bad abs wheel sensor or broken sensor ring on the halfshaft. More info would be helpful.

This morning my wife left for work and called to say that the light was out. It must have mind of it's own. But just incase others may have a simular expirence: 1.The light color was red. 2. The fluid level was topped off after replacing the broken line and bleed, and remained there all night. 3. The brakes are working perfectly. 4. My van does not have ABS.

Thanks.

How long since brake line was replaced and sytem topped off? Has the parking brake been used of late?

Just curious

This all occured in the same evening. Since the light didn't go off once I was finished bleeding the system, I was concerned. Then in the moring the light was off, I then became curious. Everything is working great now.
