I was thinking of buying my friends Nissan 350Z.. And my ideas of a car came to life.. how about this.. a Nissan 350Z converted into a NEXTEL cup race a.k.a a NASCAR racer.. I think this will look cool.. making the car long tale and long nose this could be awesome.. tell me what you think :)

Very unusual, in a good way! It would be interesting to see how this would turn out. If I remember correctly though, they did have a stretched version of the 350Z as a concept. I think...

The Japanese street legal stretched 350Z is Nismo S-tune GT, and the stretched racer is Super GT variations that Tamiya makes.
But does NASCAR allow non-American makes to compete? I guess it's a matter of what to think of the likelihood of this phantom racer project.
ADDED:
Okay, I read Wikipedia, and it says that the vehicles have to be manufactured in the US, and because of that, the Tundra definitely qualifies. (Toyota doesn't even sell Tundra and Tacoma in Japan.)
I guess Solara (essentially Camry 2dr coupe) can also be qualified, as it's also made in the US (and again, not available in Japan). Funny thing is that both the Charger and Monte Carlo are built in Canada and the Fusion in Mexico. One of those NAFTA trick, huh?

Well Toyota is said to be entering Nascar in 07 or 08 i thought. i believe the car will be based on the Solara/ Solaris? platform. they do the Truck racing already but this is the next planned step though i havent looked into it for over 6 months so things may have changed.

Fantastic: I see somewhere a "le mans concept" transformation as the concept car in GT4 with the blue/white/red livery of the 300z in past USA champs: I try to remind..:)
