Hi guys,

Here is another one from newbie:cwm27:

I have searched the forum but I had no luck to find the answer so I hope that someone will have a time to write a few sentence for me.

Basically, I have painted my old car using acrylic paint:

1. Filler
2. Dry sanding
3. Primer (2x)
4. Sending
5. Acrylic (3x)
6. Clear (3 xs)
7. Wet sanding
8. Buffing

This was my firs time and it looks good to me. There are some imperfections but I'm happy with the results.

Now, I would like to paint the bonnet and driver side guard on another car but unfortunately I do not know where and how to start. The car color is something like this funny face  and the parts I have bought from the wrecking yard are white in color. So, my questions are:

-How to find out if the original paint is 2pack or acrylic (is the paint code on the car enough to determine f the pains is two pack or not?)?

-What steps I have to follow if it's a 2pack paint (to paint these white colored second hand parts)?

-Do I need clear coat if I'm using 2pack paint?

-How to blend the paint on the door?

Any other advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks guys!!!
