Has anybody tryed this clear and if so. Is it better, worse than Tamiya acrylic clear? (x-22) It's for use with a airbrush and over tamiya acrylics.

Thx

I used to use this all the time when I built aircraft models. It's waterbased and you can thin it with water. It sprays ok but I did find it used to dry in the airbrush quite quickly whilst spraying and I was forever cleaning the tip.It does dry quickly on the model and is quite tough once dry.If you are using it for car models then I don't think you'll get as good a finish as you would with an automotive clearcote or the Tamiya TS 13 clear in my opinion and I don't think the microscale clear would respond very well to polishing etc.I now generally use it where I want a quick drying glossy finish where I am not too fussy ie.Rally car seats before I put decals on and then spray them with matt or satin topcoat.I wouldn't generally use it on a car bodyshell etc.Hope this helps you out.
