:werd: You've got a 2wd 4.3, and you want to lift it? I agree with broughy, plus, and no offense, your money could be better spent improving other aspects of the truck other than making it look like a wannabe 4wd.

yea but its a 4.3 what more can you ask from it???? I also noticed in the forum the most 4x4 guys leave there truck in 2wd mode explan that??? I dont plan on offroading but if I do (if I lift it!) I wont go alone and without chains its that what most 4x4 guys do anyway....just in case??? where I live its common practice for whatever reason...... so the only thing stoping people from lifting there trucks is that it's a 2wd?? there should be more to it if you ask me

I honestly could give a rats ass if people lift 2wd. Some of them look pretty sweet with the right set-up. However, with the money you'd spend on a lift, wheels and tires, why not spend a slight bit more and get the 8?

I don't take mine out of 2wd very often as I have an old beater 77 F-150 that I use for that. I've used it on occasion when I'ts needed. Other than that, I might as well not have it. Plus a 4x4 just plain out looks better to me.

you can ask it to be a 4.3 2wd and get a v8 4x4 truck. as for leaving it in 2wd, the transfer case isnt made to be in 4wd on dry pavement or any surface where you get good traction. use it in the dirt where you need it or can use it safely.
