Seems like master cylinder isn't working. Is there a typical prollem? 91 Cutlass Supreme 3.4 Anti-lock. No blockages, nothing typical for old shady-tree problem solver.

Welcome to AF! Is there any way you can give us more information. The symptoms you currently mention don't actually indicate a problem with the master cylinder but a problem with the ABS.

Sorry that I have been away!
Yes, the anti-lock light is on and the pedal is extremely hard to push. Muscles bulging, the car will come to a stop after a whiiiile.
I have never had a car with ABS so I do not know where to start.
Any help would be appreciated and any further neccessary info needed, just ask.
Thank you!
PS Correction:3.1 if it makes a difference.

You will need to take the car to a mechanic and have it scanned with an ABS capable scanner. Something has malfunctioned in the ABS either a pump or a solenoid. There really isn't anything you can do to fix this at home. And get it done soon since you may lose braking power altogether.

Most vehicles that are very hard to push when braking is when the vacuum hose connected to the brake booster is not working. The vacuum hose attached to the brake booster is constantly pulling vacuum out of the brake booster as the engine is running to assist and make braking easy. If either the vacuum hose is broken or the vacuum hose going to the brake booster is plugged up then it would be very hard to push the brake pedal.
