:bananadie Car: 2001 BMW 740iL

I recently had a fuel line part after the dealership worked on the coolant system on two different occasions. I was told by the service representative that the technician removed the fuel line to access and repair the coolant system. They did not replace the fuel rail at this time. The fuel line parted putting our life's in danger when the car was engulfed in a pool of gasoline. I was told by another dealership]s technican that the fuel line quick connect is made from plastic and has been replaced with a new design. Regardless, I was told by this technican that the other dealership should not have reused the old fuel rail because it would not hold pressure. I've included the description of work on my last three visits. Is there anyone who can tell me if it is safe to continue driving this car? and was it improper for the dealership to attempt to re-use the old fuel rail and quick connect?

First Visit:
"Low coolant light is on and vehicle is leaking coolant. Pressure tested cooling system and found valley pan to be leaking. Removed intake manifold and noticed backing plate cracked. Removed water pump and coolant pipes. Replaced valley pan. Replaced intake manifold backing plate and gaskets. Reinstalled intake manifold and bled cooling system. No more leaks are currently present."

Second Visit:
Low Coolant Light comes on regularly at start up / while driving / and when turning vehicle off. - "Low coolant light comes on. Pressure tested cooling system. Found valley pan under intake to be leaking. Removed intake manifold. Removed water pump. Removed cooling crossover tubes. Replaced valley pan. Reinstalled crossover tubes, water pump, and intake manifold. Bled cooling system."

Final Visit:
Fuel leaking from engine while running - "Fuel is leaking from vehicle. Found fuel line from main feed line to fuel rail to be leaking at the quick connect. Replaced fuel rail."
