How fast have you gone?

I was wondering how fast everyone has taken their cars, I noticed the long fourth gear! I've heard about the Autobahn editions, how stable does the car feel at very high speeds?
Also, has any bought a K+N filter, can you see a difference in gas mileage and power. I think I'll get one next filter change, but it around $40-50 so I'll skeptical.

the thing about the k&n filter is that u never have too change it u jus wash it out so in the long run u actually save money. As for the how fast i've drove my car, wel i love my car so much i try not to abuse it and i've never drove over 80mph so i really can't do u any good.

I thought the same way MN Hunter...What's the point of saying it can go this fast without knowing for sure. One time I just wanted to see stock 95 Aurora w/ Autobahn would do. I lived back in the back woods of East Texas and had one hell of a bridge that was over three miles long and as flat as you could get. I didn't see no one on the bridge or nothing to keep me from speeding (Pigs/Cops). So as soon as I saw the bridge I started gaining speed by the time I started the Bridge I was already doing 90 or so. Then I punched it. I hit 140 for sure becuase my Speedometer goes up to 140 but it past that and keep on going until it hit the bottom of the cluster. Thinking that this might miss up my speedometer needle I let off of the gas until 140 again I held it there until almost the end then I let it have it again...having plenty of pedal left with the Horses to spare. I hit the bottom again. Wish the speedometer would have went higher to give you exact calculation. As far as handling it drove excellent and felt like you were flying above the ground. I haven't did that again in almost 3 years so I guessing it still has the power still under the hood. They had a good design and the power to boot but they should have not put so many dang sensors and computer works in these machines. Besides that...Kicks @$$ !!!

140+. Unfortunatley The Speedometer Only Hits 140. I Usually Baby My '95 But A Few Times I Just Had To See How Fast She Could Go. The Handling At That Speed Is Really Smooth. The Faster I Go In My 'rora The Tighter Everything Gets. She Is Dependable (knock On Wood), Fast, Fuel Efficient (for A V8) And Has The Best Looking Ass-end You'll Find On A Car.

Thats great to hear the auroras true potential, 140+ in a regular front drive sedan! I had a feeling it could get up there, I just haven't gone all the way before. It was around 12:30 one night and I was thinking of no better way to test for the Autobahn package than the interstate heading home. At the top of a big hill I went full in third, around 120 it hit fourth gear and I started slowing down at 127. The power that was left was amazing, I could have cruised at that speed, and it felt like the car was just getting started. The suspension tuning is excellent for this car, not to soft, yet stiff enough to do high speeds like that.
Maybe i'll push it one-day, but I'm not in any hurry.

I've taken mine up to an indicated 130. Just got a GPS unit though, I should take it out sometime and see what the GPS thinks.

In nascar racing, I have seen a couple of cars go cartwheeling down the race track. But because of the steel reinforced cages built into these cars. They were able to walk away from the cars okay. But If something go wrong with an Aurora, at these speeds you guys are talking about. There will be no you to walk away and neither will there be an Aurora left.

So how would you classify Dale Earnhardt, good driver or Suky Driver? It doesn't matter how good you are.

Circle Track Racing Is Fun. Formula 1 Is 10 Times Funner, 10 Times Harder. You Could Drive Around In Circles With A Beer In One Hand, The Wheel In The Other. Like To Watch Pileups? Watch Neckar, Wana See Real Speed, Competition, Skill, Excitement, Watch Formula 1. These Companies Have So Much Money. They Should Really Increase The Power Of These Stock Cars, Better Brakes, Handling, Etc. Over 200 Miles Per Hour. Then It Will Be Much More Interesting. Irl Is More Exciting For Circle Track.

Non autobahn classics are governed to 108. Mine cuts out at an indicated 115-120mph. Autobahns are governed to 138.

I would never run my car to see "how fast she can go" IMHO, keep the top-speed stints to the racetrack and keep it off the road. I wouldn't mind seeing how fast my car could go, just as long as I am at the racetrack so IF something were to happen, It would only be my fault and I would be the only one getting hurt.

oh gee that man is right. i'm gona go trade my aurora for a mini van tomorrow. all you other aurora owners should too. then we should force the government to step in an detune every car and install speed limiters on every car not to go over 55. na... that would just straight up suk! can't wait til cars can take off and fly. soon.

If we get to the point, where cars take off and fly. They will be flying without gas. Because the way the world is wasting oil, there won't be any gas. I really feel sorry for the next generation.

there is and will be enough oil , total myth of the monopolies. hydrogen is the way to go. clean, power. flying cars will be. retro jet propulsion system. anti gravity is the ultimate.

do some of your own research instead of just listening to your tv and your radio like a 3 year old listening to someone read a bedtime story.
