1996 Monte Factory Stereo Removal

Just got a 96 Monte Z34, need to know how to remove the stock CD player to put my new one in, i thought there would be a simple plastic cover over the stereo and controls about it then it would give me access to the bolts that hold the head unit like in most cars...but this monte has one big plastic peice, help would be greatly appreciated before i start to break shit on my dash.
