Need info on converting 90' amigo to 2.8 diesel

Does anyone have experience or info on this? All I seem to be able to find is a few hints that it can be done. There isn't much at all on the web regarding a conversion unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I saw where someone put the 4JB1-TC in a Trooper. I really want to do this. It seems these engines are not widely available and I can't afford a new one. Also I am aware of the 2.2 diesel used in Isuzu and small Chev's but haven't heard much good about them so I won't use it. I also saw where someone had put a Mercedes 300D motor in a trooper. I have no idea how they matched it with Isuzu drivetrain though. Seems like the 4JB1-TC might work. I dunno'. Any info will be appreciated. THANKS!

I would also like to see any information on diesel conversions of Amigos. I've got a '98 with the 2.2L in it...
