Grand Am trac light on

I have a 99 Grand Am. Has anybody had problems with the trac light coming on and the gauge indicators moving back and forth.....also the "service engine soon" light stays on. Just need some opinions on this problem

If the service engine light is coming on, I'd go to your local Autozone or parts store, have them hook up the OBD II scanner, and see what codes they get. That would be a start.

My TRAC light comes on intermittenly (97GA 2.4L 4)...but nothing that's a real problem. Just a nuisance. I usually turn traction control off on the highway anyhow...half the time I think i forgot to turn it back on or didn't engage it all the way or something

Thanks, I took it to auto zone and they told me that the computer said I need a o2 sensor or cat converter. Thanks for your input.....
