Bad Sensor or vacume leak...

Ok, heres whats going on...I was driving down the road one day and it just started bogging like it had a massive vacume leak...Looked at it and it looked like the EGR was stuck open..so, i changed it out being that it had 206k miles on it..i figured it was time...I also put all new vacume hoses when i changed out the EGR...Troubles fixed for about 2 days..

Now, bring us to my current troubles... :screwy:

Now, it will start fine and run fine for a little while then it acts like it has a vacume leak again but, it only last a few mins and only does it after the truck is 1st started for the day..Its never (to date) done it after its morning fit...

Im thinking it might be the EGR positon sensor ( I think its called ) sticking or what ever it does...Sorta like a choke sticking or something then opening up...Sorry, Im a fairly good hand to work on autos but, im not a wizard in the terms or part names..

Any Ideas???

There is no position sensor but it does have a egr control solenoid.
First do some test. When it is doing it unplug the vacume line to egr valve.
If that cures it check out the egr vacume control solenoid.
Another test would to be unplug the egr valve and drive it and see if it still acts up.
Did you go OEM or aftermarket on the egr valve?

Well, i didnt goto the dealer..I got it at AutoZone..so, i guess, it would be a aftermarket part...

I will do the test and report back...

Found the problem..

It was a Temperature Sensor..

Cant remember the name but, it tells the truck motor its warmed up..If someone knows the name of this part please, tell me..I like to make notes..

Like i said, Im fair with working on them and crap on part names.. :frown:
