wassup everyone..

i have a 2k civic ex coupe w/ keyless entry. and i recently installed a remote starter myself. it runs well.. and i dont have any problems starting..

my question is if there is a way to remote start the car but also be able to unlock the door using the remote keyless fob? as you all know, when the engine is started, the keyless entry is locked out.. so i can start the car remotely.. but i'd hafta unlock the car manually.

so yeah. im wonderin if theres a workaround. it would kickass if i could remote start the car and un/lock the car as i please. lol.
and.. how/where did u mount the antenna wire to get the best range?
thanks in advance.

Depending on what model of remote start you put in your car, you may be able to hook the power locks up to the remote start itself. If the system isn't capable of doing locks, then you're kinda s.o.l. unfortunately, unless you upgrade and get a different remote start system.

hmm. well. it does hook up to the door unlock. im able to use the original keyfob to start the car. i hit lock 3x to start and 3x again to stop.. is that what you meant?

if it matters.. i got the alert automotive RS90 remote starter. its very similar to the bulldogsecurity RS82-I. its one of those DIY remote starter kits.

my friend was sayin something about placing a diode on one of the wires in the keyless entry module. he wasnt sure. heard anything about that?
