540 audio system failure

I have a 1997 540 6 speed with navigation and 6 disc CD changer.
A few days ago, audio system totaly went blank. Navigation display still works, but, no audio.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
