I Have An Idea

OK... you know how everyone is working on forced induction and great intake systems right? well, i was thinking, how about making a forced exhaust to keep the motor from getting smoked with exhaust and make flow twice as good. OK here it is, buy some fenders with scoops. Fabricate a pipe to go down towards your exhaust and weld it at an angle so it's pointing towards the tailpipe, and theoretically it should make a vacuum inbetween the block and where the pipe is welded. The exhaust would be sucked out of the motor just as quickly as air is being put in. The only thing is, it would only be effective at about 50 miles per hour or more, but how fast do most people go when racing???? at least 50. So i was just wondering if it sounds like a good idea, because i was thinking about doing this myself. ALthough it probably would make the gas mileage go down, you're not going to get great mileage with turbochargers anyways. it's mainly a racing idea. But like i said, any feedback or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism would be great. Thanx guys.

i'm sorry, but this is one of the worst ideas i've ever heard of. Although, if you did manage to make the product, you could sell it for a good amount of cash; kind of like those turbonator things.

I kinda, although i've had a few dirnks tonite, understand...what you're trying to do here...
but in actuality a 3" (sometimes even 2.5") exhaust system on a naturally aspirated engine is more than enough, you can actually start to lose hp :banghead:. 2.25" is enough.

the purpose of forced induction is to put more fuel/air in the same amount of space.

to create an exhaust system that pulls even more from the n/a engine without more fuel and air might lose too much that it wont even be worth it. you need to have as much going in as is going out...ya know?

if you have forced induction its good to have a 2.5" or 3" exhaust to get rid of all that gas.

but lets go with your idea...during the low speeds from 0 - 50mph I would be concerned with the exhaust coming out from the fender vents and not the exhaust, staining up the side of my ride ; )

maybe a 1.25" exhaust, with your idea, and a forced induction system, driving 80+mph would work.

hypothetically speaking that is :evillol:

Yea i guess u guys are right, but it was just an idea that came to mind, didn't know if it would make sense or not... Thanx anyways.
