93 suprm SL tranny

i got a 1993 olds cutlass supreme SL coupe. and the tranny makes a whineing noise while in Park and N.. when in drive you dont hear it until u pick up some speed. and get into the high end of first gear. or more into second gear u cant really hear it unless the windows are down. im assuming its a baring issue. but im not sure. i thought i'd ask to be safe its nothing that can cause something to fail in the future.

Unfortunately the front pump in the transmission is probably in the process of failing. It will whine especially in the lower gears and in neutral or park. If the fluid and filter have not been changed recently you may want to change them and try some sea foam or lube gard additive once you change it. This may help get a few more miles out of the tranny. Just don't flush it!

i can add sea foam just right into the tranny. i'll definetly do a fluid and filter change. looks like i need it. could it be just barings. or is it like 100% the front pump. and is it by any chance servicable. or would it just be better to get a new or rebuilt or junkyard tranny. in the even the pump fails. and if it does fail will i just not be able to shift to any gear? or what..
