Musashi got beat!

Well lads I suppose it had to happen. I got beat by a friend of mine in his 02 Jetta 1.8T

It was fun as hell but that ends my 2 and a half year streak of ZERO losses.

I didn't think Jetta's were that fast. Apparently I'm wrong :frown: Weren't you guys worried about screwing up your suspension? Jumping your car is fun, but it doesn't help that our cars weigh more than an adult beluga whale.

that sucks. i thought jettas were 16 second cars. i had a guy in a jetta talk smack to me one time. but the 2 cars in front of me an him were gonna race.. so the light turns green an the cars in front of us take off an the jetta does too. i didnt floor it til around 20 an by that time the jetta was a few cars ahead of me. but i held up with the jetta. didnt pull too much on me.

curious if it was modded at all, it is turbo charged, so its not hard to get cheap gains out of it.

i've lost to a corvette a integra a 300zxtt, a lamborghinin mercialago(and he wasnt even trying, literally) and a 68 gto.

but what makes me feel good is my kills compared to my deaths. i've killed over 50 cars easy

His Jetta is completely stock BUT it moves.
See from 99-01 the Jetta had 150hp despite it being turbo. in 02-04 it got upgraded to 185hp. his is the 185 version.
the sucker picks up boost at 1800 rpm....thats like no lag at all!
his stock 1320 is low 15s and so is mine. he probably runs a 15.2 , 15.3
before mods I ran a 15.6 so I might pull off a 15.4 this time.

Yes I will run him again and this time it will be at the track. people freak out and mess up thier first couple of times at a track but I got the hang of it by now so hopefully I'll nail him there.
still I have owned Jettas before but I guess they where all pre 02.

as for the suspension, brotha pleaze! I spent good money on modding my suspension, that the strongest part of my car!

i guess people didnt know that 1.8t jettas have alot of potential. HEHE, nice to meet you all! Im the one who did it, but i dont brag so whatever ::shrugs::

We are planning to go to morroso so we will have some numbers, ive never gone to a track so i dont even know what my 1/4 time will be, but we are predicting around 15.1. but for right now i want to go from a dig for fun.
