Musashi VS Gotian

So we are just getting out of Mcdonalds when i put down my window and ask if he wants to have a friendly race. Musashi agrees and honks 3 times. We take off from a 10mph roll with our wheels, well mine anyways, screeching loud enough to wake the entire area. We were almost nose to nose till i hit about 3rd gear when my car started to pull away. We go into 4th and things really start to go crazy. we are now going about 100mph and the street begins to rise infront of us. We take it and as musashi put it later, "we flew".
Our cars land, my suspension a bit more giving then his, and we keep going. Another jump comes up and again we take it, this time at about 115 to 120 lifting the cars up a good foot and a half to 2 feet. Musashi honks and we stop. We get to his house and he tells me i had about 1 car on him. What an awsome race! The jetta wins, but the 3000 is not something to mess around with either.

kinda like fast and the furious. were there uzi toting triads chasing you on motorcycles?

yeah its a 1.8t and musashi is non-turbo, and we do close quarter miles with his upgrades and me being stock so i wanted to see how we would do, it was all for fun and games anyways, in miami its hard to find a good race where someone doesnt do a flyby so friends are always fun to go with.

ever been to the track? if so, what kinda times are you guys running?

but you know what, there is no one else out there I rather loose to then to my boy Gotian. At least I had a blast doing it.

What happend was that the street we where on has two rail road tracks going through it. they are almost a block appart with the second being much higher.

the first track is the south bound and the second is the north bound for the trains.
Actually Kris you pulled instantly on me, probably top of 1st, middle of 2nd.

We pulled out of mcdonalds and he pulls up right next to me and his girlfriend Maria lowers the window.
He has a huge grin on him and is like "hey you wanna do a fun run?"
me: ok

I honk and take off, I got the shit scared out off me cause his tires screetched for a long bit with this menacing sound and I knew I had made I huge mistake. as soon as he got traction he pulled a full car ahead. my front bumper was about a foot or two behind his rear bumper. we kept that distance for about a block with neither of us gaining. I couldnt real him in no matter what. all of a sudden I see the tracks and think " he has to slow down, he has to.....never mind"
we hit the tracks at like 90 and all I see is his car catch air ( about 8 inches of air from his tires to the floor) then I catch air. we land and we are still hard on the gas. second tracks at like 100-110 and this time my car just flys off the ground and in mid air my shift light comes on. I left the ground in 3rd and came down in 4th. IT WAS AWSOME! :evillol:

I see there is no way I can beat him so I just honked and we shut down.

Is it a DOHC stealth? What mods? I would imagine the Stealth being victorious if it was a DOHC, but I guess those GTI's are quicker than I thought

its an SL 3kgt, which is the same as a DOHC r/t stealth

I have 220 hp and put down 175 to the floor.
he has 185 and puts 176 to the floor.
we both run low 15s (his 15 are obviously lower then mine)
Yes I have been to the track before I modded. I ran a 15.6 now I have a cat-back, short ram intake and light weight crank pulley, should be good for a 15.4or so.

we already talked about going to the track but it'll be a few weeks before we organize it.

sl... base w/ the dohc motor.... pretty much engine wise, the same difference just a little lighter :dunno:

anyways next time go from a dig, and i want you to beat him ;)

No, it's cause Musashi's numbers are off. The TSX has 200 flywheel hp, not 185.

although musashi doesn't like to admit it, mitsu over-rated their 3kGT engine, and it was more like 210HP... I guess musashi's car is special like that or something... beats me

musashi has 220 after the mods and im stock, but since were buddys its no biggie to us who wins, just having fun is all that matters:grinyes:
and just so you know musashi has a manual 3kgt and to 98stang im a 1.8t not a GLI, which i like mine better.

plus he weighs more than you..........but good race on behalf of both sides....oh yeah lucky you guys didnt have bodykits cause they would have been left at the track.........

ummmm, I think its cause my car is 12 years old and made from last century technology riding on a 4 year old clutch.

No, it's cause Musashi's numbers are off. The TSX has 200 flywheel hp, not 185.
no my numbers are right. I'm telling straight out of what the dyno read. My dyno sheet says I got 175 his says he has 176. and whos talking about a TSX?

we caught air but we didnt bottom out so i dont think kits would of mattered. besides body kits are for kid you silly rabbit!

Boosted1 I can actually vouch for them I know Where that is. Just going over those tracks at about 65+ you can get Air Time.

I think you'd still have the advantage considering we have nearly the same WHP and your car is lighter but I have been to the track and the first time always makes people nervous. If I cant beat you straight up then I can at least try to mess up your cool. :grinyes:

Its not so much that you get nervous, its the whole "wait for the light thing".
at the track your not only racing your opponent but you are also racing yourself. when the tree light goes green your supposed to go but the first timmers either bug out, or wait too long. I got a reaction time of 2.28 the first time. Thats bad! Im down to 1.22 now. so its very possible for me to beat you down the track cause i react quicker but you still run a faster 1/4 cause your car is quicker.
I got Jorge by two cars and he didnt catch me till half way down the runway last time. I was in the 3000 and he was in his STI. I owned him on reaction.

well lets test it from a street light then, were still gonna have to wait for those.

I dont know what it is about the track and the chritmas tree but its nothing like waiting at a light. Its wierd but you'll see what I mean when we finally go.

E46 325i with CAI and fat ass driver mod, lol. I don't even bother running stock 1.8Ts cuz I've beaten them everytime we run. The only one that came close to me was an Audi 1.8T FWD A4 on the highway from a 55mph roll, we both had K&N drop ins, and I held him at my door to about 140ish when we finally shut down.

Cassies, theres a huge difference between a 2001 1.8t and the 02 models. the 02 got about 30 more HP and a reworked turbo.
Ive eaten 1.8ts before too but Gotian's is alot quicker.

I've taken a full slew of 1.8Ts, from the late ninties up to the later models before they dictched the 1.8ts for a 2.0t, so that 30HP isn't gonna make any difference. I only raced him when we had our older cars, back when he had the eclipse and i had my diamante. I won that time, but for now it wouldnt really be fair. Atleast not till i get the upgraded ecu from neuspeed cause then my figures will be alot closer to his.

Cassies, I wassnt asking about altitude cause of excuses, I just wondered if you are at sea level then you could just run it at a track, get your times and then we know for sure if you could take me!

Yo 209 Its not Fair at all for me to Race em.. even with Gotian's revamped ECU I honestly think it still wont be close. But Usually I Play The Independent Adjudicator. (The Stig) and Yeah he beat me with my old car but the numbers were also unfair back then as well. 140 hp with 130 lbs tq VS. 200hp and 195 lbs TQ. Kinda like a regular Neon stock vs a 3000gt stock.
