How to disable day time running lights?

Hi guys love my 98 f-150,but sure would like to have no lights at all with the truck running.Can this be done.If any one knows I sure would appreciate it. There are certain times at night when you just dont need or want lights.Thanks.

My z71 i had if u push the emergency brake down just a very very very little bit so it doesnt engage the brake that was the sensor shut off. Try that

Yeah but the insurance break is nice right?Anyway if you use a test light to find the keyed hot wire going to the headlight and cut it that could work.I did it to my wifes olc cavalier and just went without or you could even install a 2 way switch to where you could turn them off and on at random.A decent repair manual should have a schematic that will detail which wire is which.

according tot he wiring diagram you can take the light green/red wire at the parking brake switch and permanently ground it. that should disable your DRLs all the time without affecting anything else.
