quite a while back i posted that i had purchased a $35 performance chip and got reamed by a number of closed minded assholes. some stuck up for me though, thanks for that. here is the origional post:

so i finally got the chance to use a g-tech to find out what kind of hosepower i was now putting out. before the chip i had a homemade cai and msd plug wires. my best pull was rated at 132 hp by the g-tech.
last night i tried again. now i have in addition to the intake and wires 2" axle back exhaust and a high-flow cat, plus the chip. my best rating was 139 hp. conditions were the same excecpt it was about 8 degrees warmer outside than before and i have ~40 extra pounds of stereo equipment.
so that's a gain of 7 hp all together with the chip and new mods. I'm planning on retesting sometime soon to verify everything. my best 0-60 time was 8.42 on a so-so launch. i dont know if this is good for an ex or not, never tried it before. but there is lots of room for improvement. the vtec kicks in at 5000 rmp and i shifted at 8000 because the rev-limiter is out of the picture. i can get up to about 65-68 mph in 2nd gear at 8k.

get it on a real dyno and you will see that your civic is only making about around 100-110whp...

dude, you must be kidding....something that connects to your cigarette lighter will not measure your horsepower accurately....
hahaha...go to a real dyno and test the car with and without the mods....If you make the horsepower you claim, then I will pay you 500 dollars...IF you don't make that power, then you pay me 500 dollars

piss off. the reason i got it in the first place is caus im a cheap bastard. im not about to waste money on a dyno until i get a turbo when it will be worth it. as for g-tech's being worthless, i've yet to hear about them being bad.
