i did my search but didnt find what i was looking for. some say its bad to put a valve cover breather on, because u will loose vacuum. does the breather have anything to do with vacuum, and does it do a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g for my 95 gsx? or should i just leave the tube on? thanks

If you're going to go anything get a catch can. A breather filter doesnt really do a whole lot. and no it doesnt have to do with vacuum, it justs sucks fresh air in from your intake. Whatever you do make sure you plug any holes you might have created in your intake

I did what this site did( www.plymouthlaser.com CLICK ENGINE MODS and than read breather filter mod/fix),,much cheaper for now and keeps your intake/turbo/IC much cleaner and your engine bay at the same time. Simple too!

You could also just use an in line fuel filter (a small one) they cost about $2, just replace it with the oil change.

Ideally you would not vent the valve cover to atmosphere, it will affect closed loop engine management. Fuel filter, catch can, these things are all a better solution than an open element filter, since they keep the system closed loop.
