hi, i have a 92 rs 305tbi camaro automatic, and it is not possie now, but when i get my 3.73's will it be? or will it stay the same? and are all the 92 rs's spin only one wheel?

what you have is a open differential. It only drives one wheel and thats it. You have two options. Replace the center unit with a posi unit. Or find someone selling a complete 10 bolt rear end. Or you could just get a 12 bolt or 9 " but that is a lot of money.

is it hard to replace the center unit? And how much will it run?

Replacing the center unit is not something that you could tackle. Finding a 10 bolt from another car and swapping them isnt bad at all. I havent done it personally but is you talk to link he could tell you. He put a fourth gen 10 bolt in his car.

he meant find a 10 bolt from another car with a limited slip differential already in it and just swap the whole assembly

you could but its usually expensive and i wouldnt recommend working on that yourself w/o someone who has done it before or knows exactly what they are doing....if you watch you can find them for sale for about what it'd cost to do that. anything dealing with gears i would never try myself personally

www.camaroz28.com (http://www.camaroz28.com)
Go to the classified sections on those websites. Someone im sure has a complete rear for sale. Maybe even one with disc brakes.

or bite the bullet and find a good and experienced!!!! guy to install a posi unit. Make sure they know what they are doing. You could do gears at the same time too.

couldnt agree more with that.....gears are always good and since it'd be apart anyways might as well go for it!
