Please someone help me....
i "attempted" to disconnect the stock infinity stereo to put in new one, i couldnt figure out how to bypass the amp under the passanger seat. and now i put the stock stereo back in and that does not turn on, neither does the clock, and the power locks only work when the car is on, the unlock/lock/panic buttons do not work on my key pad, and my sun roof does not open, and the interior lights on the mirror do not work. Does anyone know what wire i messed with...or how i can have this go back to normal, or how to put the new cd player in there without this problem.....I just need to fix it... thanks!!!

i'd check the fuses first, if you shorted anything at all that woulda done it. i don't kno how you could have shorted it... or if you did, but that really sux!!!! did you get the appropriate harness for it?? i dont kno much about audio wiring at all, so we'll see if some of our audio guys can help you out

I dont understand what you mean when you say you couldnt bypass the stock amp. All that you have to do is run your new RCA lines to a new amp...or run the stock RCA lines to the new H/U and it will go through the stock system. There really isnt anything you can screw up. More info on what you did to try and install the new head unit might help us out.

With this stock amplifier it has a special connector plugged into and then another plug with all the speakers running to it, so when you take out the stock cd player there are no speaker wires in the dash they all run to the amp, and the specail plug i mentioned runs to the cd player, but that plug has no where to go in the new head unit, so basically i would have had to take all the speaker wire from the stock amp and ran it to the dash to be able to get sound through the stock speakers, i could have ran rca to the new amp but that would jus power the subs and no stock speakers, once i noticed this whole conjuction of stuff i put the stock cd player back into the car hooked it up the proper way and now none of this stuff works so basically alls i did was unplug the stock one and hooked up the power to the new one realized wat i would have to do to it and then plug the old one back in, i have done cd players and systems on all old cars but never a new one so this was a whole new world to me:banghead:

Im just gonna say it now, I;m a little drunk, so what I say may be retarded. When I replaced my H/U I didnt do jack shit with the stock amp. I installed a subwoofer, and ran the stock RCA cables from my stock Infinity system for the mids to the new H/U. I didnt have to deal with any weird harness or some shit like that, I just unhooked my rca's from the stock Infinity H/U and plugged them back into my new H/U. If you put the stock H/U back in after you unplugged it you have probably run into the dreaded security code thing. There are a couple posts about how to retrieve this code...good luck with that. This is probably the reason your stereo isnt working right now. As for the rest of your problems...I dont know what the hell you did....but anything with the stereo should be totally seperate from the locks/windows. I dont even know where to start with that. Good Luck, and look at the stock RCA setup again...you might have just overlooked something stupid.

I totally agree with checking the fuses. Yo could have blown a fuze and that would cause you to lose those features that you are talking about. Also if it is a blown fuse check you wires as good as possible. You could have a wire that has a bear spot on it and it is hit metal and causing you to blow the fuse.
As far as hooking everything up you can either rewire the speakers, or get the bypass so that bypasses the amp and pwoers the speakers by the HU. Not really sure or what rodbls is taking about running the stock rca into the amp for an aftermarket deck. I know that if you buy a 4 channel aftermarket amp and if your deck has the preouts for the front and rear speakers you can run 2 sets of rcas (1 for the front speakers and 1 for the rear speakers) from the deck to the amp and then run the wire from the interior speakers to the amp.
Okay as far as the by pass for the amp goes: http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/8370/dsc005697el.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
There is a bypass that you can by will allow to disconnect the connector from the area that is circled above. The bypass then connects into the plastic piece and will allow you to hook up you factory speakers to an aftermarket deck and totally bypass the infinity amp.
