 wow every thing is different here
any how i want to change the rear gear in the bird but dont have 200 bucks to spend so my question is dose anyone know what cars\trucks came with a 10 bolt 7 5/8 (7.625) inch rear end and a 3.73 or 3.42 gear ratio also 3 series carrier
or know where to find one cheaper ive been on ebay summit jegs and many other places i was thinking the junk yard will be the best bet and might be a chance to ge an limmited slip or mabey a possi (i think a possi is not likely though)
also do you think a 3.73 or the 3.42 would be better for me and my daily driver

Yea, junkyards a good place to look. Daily driver I would go with 3.42's...what is your ratio now? It should be right around 3.42 already...

Tons of vehicles have the 7.5 rear. Such as S10's and some caprice and impala's. I agree for a daily driver I would go with 3.42's but 3.73's won't hurt you too much more than 3.42's top end and gas mileage. If you would like me to see if I can find you a cheap set of gears let me know via PM. I run across them all the time.

Yup, 7.5, 7.625. All the same stuff.
