180* Thermostat

I am about to get my tranny looked at by the dealership and it's under full factory warranty still. I've already told them about all of the mods on my GP and they told me that it will not void my factory warranty, but I forgot to ask them about my Hypertech 180* stat and autolite double platinums. Does anyone know if this is something that they are going to notice when they plug it up to the scanner and give me a hard time about? Also, someone once told me that going to a cooler thermostat could cause my car to overheat...... Is this true?

There is no way they will detect the 180* stat unless they get a low water temp code. As for the plugs they are just plugs and wouldn't void anything anyway. As for it the car overheating it happens with a 160* stat since the fans don't come on early enough. Most reprogrammed PCM's take care of this by lowering the turn on point for the fans.
