Turn the key half way hold your trip in for 10-15 sec.
Reset your neg battery terminal if that does not help.

Owners manual says:
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Press and hold the Select/Reset knob in the instrument panel (to the lower right side of the speedometer), then turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
3. Hold the knob for about ten seconds until the light goes off.

FYI,
I tried this on a '02 Civic LX (Canada) and it worked.
Meaning,
1. Hold the Trip/Odometer button and turn the engine on.
2. Hold the button until the light goes away.
Worked fine.
haven't tried it on my '02 Si, but I'm sure its the same.
