Here's the progress on this porsche 911 turbo from tamiya in red metallic, the picses show it's like it's orange, but it's NOT!
Otherwise a little OOB build.
That's about it!
more work on the body and then it'll be done.

Due to overwhelming requests and response, I decided to look at this like my duty to inform loyal aficionados who have been pressing the F5 key about every ten minutes while keeping on this page ( I know of a few dozen).
hehehe
nah, just a last little update on this basically no-nosense build.
I guess the masking was the hardest part, the car came out pretty well, i m really happy to have this timeless piece of bodywork magic in my display cabinet in two or three weeks time (which for me is a record).
That's about it, it needs just a tad more TLC, as waxing, last details and touchups.
More daylight pics tomorrow in a finished thread (just like the finished trabbant thead. I guess I ll have to try to counterfuck my lost sense of time and try to wake up when the sun is actually shining.
Living in Belgium, it can be pretty tricky trying to actually figuring if that is the sun shining or just streetlights.
Ah well, enough chitterchatter here s a pic to smooth your carporn needs.

LOVE it!!! Wheels look fantastic! Headlight too! I had forgotten to paint them body color. I got away with painted the rings silver, as an after thought, on my silver car. Keep up the great work!

Damn, looks fine :sunglasse
I've repeatedly said "NO" to getting this kit. I've built the Fujimi EM version. I've seen the Tamiya kit in person and think "damn, it's nice and the wheels are killer but tons of masking will be required".
And then I see nicely built examples. Again making me want one. Thanks, you're really helping my cause dammit

Even if it was orange instead of red, it would look great!
The Fuchs-rims bring it justice, well done!!

Gorgeous, Oli. The paint is stellar, and what a beautiful color. Fantastic build, I too keep seeing it on the shelf and have to force myself to run away from it, before builds like yours convince me to take it home.

Sweetness!
I spent a long time looking at this kit at my LHS on Fri.. The sticker price and a bench full of unfinshed projects, as well as a closet full of Porsche kits killed my 'gotta have it itus'...

I'm not much of a Porsche lover, but this car is becoming a nice classic.
The paint and cool wheels really make it look good.
That's the 911 Turbo '88 kit right?
