Extended Warranties?

I have an 02 Passat GLX and the factory warranty just ran out. I am interested in purchasing an extended warranty (bumper to bumper) but have never purchased one for a Volkswagen before so I am not sure which warranty best suits the VW's? Does anyone have any good experiences with a extended warranty on their passat or does anyone know if VW has an extended warranty themselves?

I bought a 2003 4Motion V6 wagon with 33,000 miles and made the dealer certify it and give me the extended warranty at cost. Well, when the AC compressor seized, the extended warranty not only paid for everything, it also paid for the rental until it could be fixed. Total bill: $974, my cost: $50.00. In my opinion, definetly worth the price for peace of mind and bank account.:grinyes:
