Ok, so i have a 96 neon, and i hate the way it looks, well actually, just the headlights. I was wondering if there were any conversions to change the headlight look completly. I dont like the way they look like bug eyes. I am seriously thinking about adding major mods to the car, but if i dont like the way it looks, then why bother. Is there any way to change the headlight shape without major welding involved. Thanks for anyhelp.

Get another car if you don't like the way it looks, as there are no headlight conversions available. The only thing you can do is get the headlights you like and then custom fit them and then redo your hood.
There are angel eyes or halo headlights availavbe for the neon, you may like those better.

thanks for the help guys, i really do like the angle eye halo lights. I think i may just do some minor cosmetic mods to it until i buy a new car. Just rice it out a little bit. I think i am going to use my tax refund to get another car. Thanks again for the help.

i have the twin halos on my 96 and i most say they look very nice and fairly easy to install. it took about an hour to replace. it does require a new switch for the halos. i have pictures of them on if you would like to see them.

i know, i hate people like me too, but dont get me wrong, i'm not a ricer. I know a good deal about cars, and tunning cars, but the cost of a turbo, intercooler, oil lines, exhaust manifold, turbo chip, and a new clutch to be able to hold extra power doesnt seem worth is for 180hp, expecially for a car that doesnt have the best styling in my opinion. I would rather add a body kit, euro lights, and neons for all of $600. add that to the cost of the car $1000 for a total of $1600. Then i could sell the car to some teenager for $3000 becasue he likes the way it looks, and i could use that money to buy a car i like better. There is a difference between a ricer and an investor. And i know a lot of people who would say tunning a economy gas car is ruining a perfectly good car. I never said anything bad about what you do to your car, so dont judge me unless you know something about me.

There is a difference between a ricer and an investor.Modding a neon DOES NOT increase the value whatsoever. It drops the value down! If you were to add the body kit and all that other stuff, you would make more money parting out the aftermarket stuff, returning the car to stock and selling it, than you would trying to sell it altogether. Don't put money into it thinking you are going to get more for the car. You won't! I have seen turbo'd neons sell for around $3000 and you will be trying to sell a non-turbo neon for $3000, not likely. Save the money you would spend on modding and put that towards the new car.

true, modding a car does not increase its value according to an appraiser or blue book, ect. but have you ever gone on to carsoup and looked at the custom car section? a car with a body kit sells for more than the car stock.

Just because someone is asking $3000 for neon w/a body kit doesn't mean it sold for that much. I would just be real leery of putting money into a car 1)that you don't like and 2)are not guaranteed your money back! It's your money though, so do as you please.

no no no, i understand completly, i am a little leary too, but i can get the parts on the car for so cheap and thats why i am concidering it. I can get a body kit for like $300, so if it does not make money, its not a huge loss. But i will probally just give the car to my little brother and look for something different. I am really into the euro cars ie: vw. So i will probally just start looking for one of those.
