I have a 95 gt manual. The tranny is just too clean to be stock. I was ondering if any1 knew where the #'s would be on the tranny itself to identify the type. Also, where could I look these #'s up online? Thx!!!

should have a plate stamped into the side of the tranny.. right side i believe.. get what kind of tranny it is.. and then do some research on the net.. I wanna say.. on that care it was a T45.. but i may be mixing that up with some crazy stuff..

Can't be a T45. The T45 has a built in bell housing that will only allow it to bolt up to the 4.6. It could be any number of transmissions, but not a T45.

I think that the T45 was a little stronger than the T5, I know that the 96 Cobra had a stronger T45 than the 96GT. I also think that at some point in 98 or 99 they stopped making different transmissions for the two and then in 01 mid year they started using the 3650, which I believe is supposed to be a little stronger than all the T45s.
