Car makes a weird drilling noise when I try to start it

Hey all. Im having starting problems with my car. It always eventually starts, but can take anywhere from 4-8 tries to kick over. Sometimes, it will make this weird sound like a dentist's drill. Does anyone know what that is?

Sounds like you got a starter problem, may wanna take it off, go on down to autozone, and let them put it on the machine and test it. If it's good, I would check the flywheel for missing or broke teeth.

The starter is brand new. It died out on me and it was just recently replaced.

Some starters that are sold as brand new have came out faulty.. so yeah take it back and have em test it..

Where'd u get the starter anyway?
