02 Silverado LT owners

How do you control the DIC (Driver Info Center) above your head?

Are there buttons on the steering wheel? Or are there buttons on the DIC pod?

I'm wondering if this is going to be as cheap as getting a DIC from a salvage yard; or if I'm gonna need to obtain a steering wheel as well (Then the Airbag will probably need to come $?$?)

If anyone has 'upgraded' an LS to an LT; please chime in! I'm going to write down the VIN of the donor truck just in case it's needed when re-flashing the computer(s) Anything else I need/should grab while there?

I have an '02 LT (1500). There are no buttons on my steering wheel or above my head anywhere. I do know there were significant computer changes between '02 and '03.

99-02 did not have a DIC available.

That overhead display only shows compass heading and outside air temp.

mine is an 02 LT and the only info center is to left of the inst. cluster. it flashes info. such as oil change due , low fuel......etc. compass and temp is on the mirror and info. displayed on that cannot be changed. it all changed in 03 my wifes tahoe has all sorts of info.with the buttons on the wheel.
