Hi, I'm Moises again, my 5sfe engine is using too much oil, I've runned only 1800 miles since last oil change, and I checked it today, and I was running at low oil  I feel the engine is burning the oil. What should I do to fix it?

Do a compression test on the motor. See if the rings are bad. Does your vehicle have a PCV valve? It may be bad.

I'm using Valvoline Max life (the red one) 10-30. My car have 189,000 miles. I"m going to change the spark plug and wires next week. My vehicle doesn't have a PCV valve, It has a EGR valve.

Unfortunatly, 1800 miles for a quart of oil on a car (yes, even a celica) with 189k miles on it - isn't unreasonable.

Most likely rings are starting to wear, and/or valve stem gaskets are leaking. Compression test should tell you how the rings are doing. A "puff" of blue smoke when you start the car in the morning is a good indication that the valve stem seals are leaking a little.

I just rebuilt my 85 22RE engine with 250K miles on it. I was burning a quart of oil abut every 900 miles.

It doesn't burn 1 quart at 1800 miles, the car burns almost all the oil at 1800 miles after the oil change!
