Yup, paint like normal.... and then get pissed at the 'armor' modelers when the flat paints come out so smooth and even when the glossies take so much practice to get right. LOL

I would use primer.... but if you wash the body real good in soapy water and do some light mist coats first of the Flat Black then maybe it will turn out OK.

Heck, I don't see much of a difference between black primer and flat black.

I used sometime painting underpanels: the only problem will be in highlight, so spray in light coats an you'll skip primer (in other word prime with the same MB)

I've used flat gray as primer numerous times and don't get a lot of trouble

TBH, why would you even consider NOT using primer?
Primer isn't that expensive and goes a long way, it dries quickly, highlights surface problem areas so you can fix them before it's too late, goes on very smoothly in my experience (in fact, it's always my best paint job!), and most importantly it gives your paint a good surface to fix into so if you intend masking later for detail painting there is virtually no chance that the masking tape will pull off the paint from the bare plastic (been there, seen that, got the T-shirt ).
Put all that against the cost of not using a primer and then being totally pissed off, dissapointed and having to do it over or accept second best.
I prime EVERYTHING without exception. I just don't see the point of cutting corners right from the start of a build/paint job - there are so many places later where I will have problems anyway. :)
