ok door handle help,this sucks

ok i resorted to the dsm forums step by step,i did everything fine got the new handle in and went to clip that white clip that clips to the pushrod,ok did that but now when you lift the outside handle it wont open the door.it seems that it doesnt push that pushrod far enough, handle is flush and is cliped right to the fuckin thing, but at the bottom where if you pull the inside handle you can see it pull the part that the pushrod is attached too it seems that it doesnt push it far enough.i know this is real hard to explain but this is the best i can do to help you understand,could the pushrod have come unattached at the bottom i know its connected but it seems kinda loose someone help this sucks bad.thanks

Its the little rod that goes from the handle to the door mechinism. The top is on the handle and the bottom looks oval sort of with a space in the middle for it to slide. That rod needs to be bent a little straighter and the door will work perfect ;) Its just not pushing down far enough like you said, so by making it a little straighter it makes the bar longer ;). I had the same problem over the summer and so did my friend in his avenger

it should work, i did a search on mapquest bostonjoe and im only about 217 miles from you. Maybe this summer when i have my car back together we can meet up and go to the track or something.

i would but i cant bring this thing to the track its a gs hahaaha but im cool with whatever if your around sometime let me know i am trying this thing with the door handle but i dont want to disassemble it again cuz it sucked so im trying to bend it now but its tough i dont want nothing to break on either end so im trying to do it right
