Wow, nice find! The DBR9 is such a fine car, too bad it didnt win its class in last years Le Mans.

Thanks Veyron, never saw that thread.

Looks like it is near complete, I wonder how long it will be before it is for sale?

Very old new. Etienne started this project quite a while ago. You can see it there: (in french)

He had a bad luck yesterday with the model and there will be some more delays.

Errr... was a joke for my French friends... In fact, pattern is quite completed; this pic is from the original pattern, after first moulding; as you can see, vacuum moulding of a combination of polyester putty and resin is not easy, and result is always a break!

Sorry.

Suppose this wont be at all cheap when it comes out!

There is also a 1:12 model in the works from ABC Briannza. Will cost $$$, but should be a cracker.

ABC is also working on a 1/12 Audi R8 which will accommodate LMM's 1/12 beautiful R8 engine kit.

Thanks mate. Oh well, it is to be expected from a resin kit. They are hand sculpted after all, not made using CAM.

I am glad there is not any Aston Martin. They are so ugly like the majority of the british cars (Ooops... are there British cars today). Anyway, it is a matter of taste.

Bye.

What is so strange about? I think the Aston Martin is an ugly car. I find the vast majority of the modern british cars ugly. As I said it is a matter of taste. What does kick you both so much??

Well this is nor the place, nor time to be posting your thoughts about Aston Martins. This is a discussion about the resin DBR9 from Renaissance, not what people think of Aston Martins.

If you read the first posting of this thread properly you will see someone expressing his wish to have an Aston Martin kit on the market. My comment to that was being glad there are no kits of that car available as I find it too ugly.

Go on to the next posting you will read "The DBR9 is such a fine car". This shows, unlike your claims, previous posting DID include something about what people think of Aston Martins (which I think is OK). But it seems some get hurt when others do not share them their taste, or probably they worship Aston Martins?

Hi,

absolutely no problem with your opinion that the Aston is ugly, nevertheless I think they look great.
However I didn´t understand, what your above mentioned sentence meant, because THERE ARE Aston Martins !!!!!

Just for the reason the smilie " :dunno: "

Of course you can express if you like a car or not in this website... But i don't get you. Because you don't like astons you are glad there aren't any kits. Why? What bothers you if there exists a kit of an aston? Would you life suck if there were 20 aston kits? There are a lot of cars i find ugly. So if I see such a model I just don't buy it...Final. I'm just glad there exisits a lot different kits but it's a shame that some types just get "ignored" (like a lot of english cars, zonda, latests porsches, mclaren, SLR...) while you can find a quadzilion fords.

Certainly not. It was a sort of a joke that I am glad this car is not available as a kit. Sure, if I hate a car that much I would not buy a kit of it (not exactly true. The Enzo is unbearable car but I have 4 kits of it :frown: )

Bye
