I am looking to rebuild the engine on my 1977 Corvette. I thought I would beef it up a bit and bring it up to a 383 cubic inch.
I have 2 questions: If I keep the original block, will the modification hurt the value? What price range should I expect if someone does this for me?

I would keep the original motor intact and store it away. Get a crate motor of some sort, it will be cheaper than doing the original 350 over and may hurt the value of it. In case you want to sell it later, include the original motor or reinstall it.

Bob is absolutly correct. Use a crate motor and keep the original for resale.
