Turn signals

I have a 1999 Camry and am having trouble with the left turn signal. It flashes very fast compared to the right signal. I have replaced all the bulbs and it made no difference. I thought it might be a ground problem so I ran an additional ground wire to the front left signal and still no difference. Any ideas?

Try to look inside of the light sockets. They may be rusty inside.

I looked in all the sockets and there dosen't appear to be any rust. I applied electrcial paste to each bulb hoping to get better contact, but no change. The right side works fine and the left side blinks very fast.

Try another bulb. i've seen this on 4 Camry's and it was always the bulb.

You probably need new socket. You call up your nearest toyota parts dept and ask. Toyota parts dept near me has been very helpful with my 90 celica and that's one of the problem (front left signal), the other being the sunroof leak. My car's socket easy to replace just snap in. If socket is your problem just asked them how to replace I'm sure they will give you a printout/diagram of assembly of that part. If not ask them for printout.
If there's a leak or moisture getting in try to seal it if you can. I busted several bulbs before deciding to changed it because sometimes it doesn't blink that fast so I keep on twisting the bulb around the socket and later on socket just wouldn't work anymore. Now everything's ok. I also taped the edge so no water goes in. So for my car it's the socket.
