Whenever i shift from Park to Drive or Reverse i hear a loud CLANK sound. What could be causeing this? is it a lack of oil or trans fluid? how can i fix it....if even possible.

Maybe a motor mount/engine brace going bad or loose. Open the hood and have some one check to see if the motor is lifting up when you put it in reverse.

Yeah - it wouldn't do to have your motor get a restraining order from your car! My tranny did that when I swiftly shifted from R to D. My mounts were a bit loose at the transmission and motor, but nothing too bad when I brought it in. So long as it's not rocking the car when the clunk happens, you probably have caught whatever it is in time and not too expensive

It may be your C/V joints, kind of like a universal joint on a rear wheel drive shaft. I would get it looked at as soon as possible. If it is a C/V joint you will lose the ability to drive the car. Do not jump on it while driving try to keep your accellerations smooth, the less stress on the joint the better. It may be something other than the C/V's but I would at leasr rule them out.
Good luck
