k my friend just got a swap in his 5th gen sedan with a b16a2. the problem is that the ecu he got was for an auto. he wants to know if he swaps in like a sohc vtec ecu, if it will work for now then he can chip it later. or could he chip the auto with one of those chips they sell on ebay, i dont know if they work for the auto ecu. would a gsr ecu work on the b16a2. or if you guys could just tell me what ecu will work and what are the problems with each of them

The SOHC Vtec Ecu won't work. The B18 ECU will work but only as a bandage. Change it ASAP.
