reprogramming keyless entry

I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix and I can't find any instructions on how to reprogram the keyless entry remote on it. Can anyone help me?

Get in your trunk, on the passenger side near the radio antenna, behind the carpet, you should see a wire that isn't hooked to anything. Take a jumper wire, and ground this wire to the body. You should hear the locks cycle. Take your remote(s) and press and hold the lock and unlock buttons until you hear the locks cycle. Repeat the previous step for each transmitter if you have more than one. When all transmitters are programmed, disconnect the jumper wire and you should be all set.
