uninstall factory/install new stereo-98 Cavy

I need to uninstall the tape deck/stereo, and install my Sony Xplod in my 98 Cavy. How do I uninstall the factory stereo and are there any tricks to installing the Xplod? Thanks,

pretty much take all the dash apart, take the bolts out unplug the facotry. For your new radio you will need to get a wire kit for it. Also don't let them try and sell you no $100 wire harness and tell you come crap about your airbags. Just get the standard one of that year it cost like $15 or something like that i can't remember.

Just FYI.... the special harness for the Cavalier that has to do with installing an aftermarket radio doesn't come into play untill late 99-early 2000 and up. It has to do with GM's class II data bus system in which multiple systems are routed through the factory radio including door chime.
