I got my Avital 2200 from Best Buy for $200 installed. Its got the remote entry and a 6 tone LOUD siren. I like it. Haven't had too many false alarms either. One of the best features with this alarm, or any from DEI, is that it comes with a $2500 anti-theft guarantee which covers your insurance deductable.

well, Being that I am an installer at Best Buy I can steer you in the right direction. The Avital 2200 mentioned earlier is a great alarm, it has many features that he didnt even list. You can do domelight supervision really easy in a Honda. It has second channel outputs for opt accessories that you can add on later (like window modules but I do NOT reccomend these on Hondas) However you can do a sunroof module which works well on your car. The price of this alarm is 200 bucks installed but that is bare minimum. I would suggest that you purchase a mini siren for the interior of the car and maybe think about a Backup battery. Either way make sure your installer is competent. I hate to do this but A SHITLOAD of Best Buys installers are NOT certified. And, even if they are some shitty work comes out of our stores all too often. The store I work at has some great installers and we actually take pride in our work but many stores in our area suck and we usually end up fixing their f-ups. You asked about Viper alarms in another post. DEI makes:
Clifford
Avital
Viper
Sidewinder
Hornet
Wasp
and bunch of others I cant think of right now.
If you look at a Viper alarm brain compared to an Avital its the same thing basically. Remember that an alarm is only as good as its install so make sure you know what kind of work youre getting into. If you need to know certain things to ask about the actual install I will be more than happy to let you know whats up. :D

As far as the post about the $2500 garuntee, there are alot of catches to it. i cant go into all of them but I have never seen anyone take advantage of this offer. I do know that the alarm has to be installed by a MECP certified installer, you have to have his license number etc. its all a pain. Let me know what you decide.
