Ok this is what I want to do with my car very soon, but dont know a way to go about it. First, I want to check all my hoses and make sure their is no airleakers in anything that could possible contain air leaks. Second, I want to inspect my turbo and make sure theirs no leaks and to see what shape my turbo is in. Third, How do I tell if I need a new fuel pump and water Pump. I have been getting less than 22 mpg, I know I need to replace my Plugs, but I think their is something else at work here. Please, any advance will be greatful.

Take the intake pipe going to your turbo off. (and while the turbo is not hot) Then, reach in the inlet of your turbo and check the compressor wheel for shaft play... When my water pump went bad you could clearly feel that the bearing went out on it. Maybe you can try to move the pulley on it and see if there is any play in it too... I'm not too sure of a way to check the fuel pump though...

just give the shaft a good wiggle and move it back and forth and if it moves you have shaft play if it doesnt then you dont. IIRC a little shaft play is ok
