looks real nice.. im gonna get headers real soon but i gotta stick to the ones with the air tubes.. damn CA and its strict regulations. im also gonna ditch TPI and go for a mini ram. its gonna take time to save for all that though, unless i become a hitman.. anyone interested??

It just ticked 90000 today. I want to cut those tubes off. I just dont want to take the headers out to weld the holes closed. Im going to be "desmogging" soon so I wont need them.

The slp runners wont do much out of the box. After you port them out they can really flow.

i was drooling until I saw that interior. I hate what time does to that red, starts to look pink after so many years. It would look so sexy with black carpet and ebony 4th gen leather seats.

92z, your car is exactly like mine. Black on the outside red on the inside. Very clean man, way to go. I really need to clean my bay area, it's dirty and i hate it.

I like the whole car and unlike Geno I think the interior looks real clean and in great shape for the age of the vehicle. If you think thats wear, you should have seen the interior in my 86 Vette. Those cars have the interior self destruct after like 4 - 5 years. Anyway, I am a huge fan of TPI's and she looks like a prime example. Good luck with her.

Interior self destruction, sounds like my car. The roof anyways. Had to yank it all out due to t-top leak. Mold began to grow.

or www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)

btw I contacted the guy who sold me the strut tower brace and he said he could get more if I wanted them. I paid 120 with shipping. I probably couldve gotten a cheaper one but I really liked this one. If anyone wants one let me know and ill relay it to the seller.

Yeah the interior is great. No rips no tears no stains. And the color is still very red. I didnt like it at first but the red kinda grew on me. I would prefer black like my 89 had but its still nice. Only thing wrong with the inside of the car is the bose radio was missing when I bought the car but still had all of the bose speakers and my drivers side window is getting very weak. I have one on order so it should be here soon. They are really cheap considering how much they are for other cars. Only 25 dollars. And ive already wired in a pioneer deck and installed speakers in the car.

92z, did paxton make a supercharger for our cars? Or are you getting for a mustang and hook it up to your L98? I see your gonna get one soon in your sig. Your car seems pretty quick, ever take her to the track?

92zcamaroperson
01-12-2006, 03:32 PM
Yeah they did make kits for our cars. The kit I have is for 88-92 camaros. I just ordered the install manual as the guy I got it from couldnt find the one it came with. Never been to a track...yet. I want to get some things done before I go anyways. I just found cracks in the wire housing of a few of my spark plug wires and I think its causing a miss. The new wires I want are about 100 dollars and Ive got another week till payday. Plus my magnaflow catback is in the mail somewhere. Then I have to put the aluminum rear cover on.....im also tracking down a fan issue. These tes headers have a very tight fit. My dipstick housing hit my fan switch connector so now sometimes the fan works but most of the time i have no fans. And id want a low temp switch if im going to go through the trouble of changing it out. Or at least thats my excuse. The car has some quirks but what 15 year old car doesnt.

Thats nice man. Do they have a website for it? I checked it out the other day, but couldn't fiond anything for ours cars. I think in the feature, i will got with a turbo set-up for the 305, i like to experiment and i believe it would be really fun too.

That s/c is exactly the one I saw in a RS at an autoshow. It was put int the place of the a/c condensor and looked like it belonged. wish I could have ran into the owner, had these sweet custom headers, and I mean custom because not a damn thing on the engine was blocked or hard to get to, even plugs 6 & 8! wires were nice and clear. Hell even the freaken starter. That's it, next year I am asking Santa for a welder or I'm kicking his fat joly ass.

theres guy selling a twin turbo setup on thirdgen.org for 900 dollars...

vortec bought out paxton and then decide to sell it. A company in california called paradise wheels bought it. I dont know if they are still making them or not though. I think they might though.

01-12-2006, 04:24 PM
If it's the same guy with the "slightly used" system in the white car and the majority of it is made out air ducting, that guy's been trying to sell that stuff since Bubba Clinton left office.

If it is then he has a creative story about his transmission blew out and he needs a new one. I dont know what the color is.

Hey 92z, just went to bbsdesigns.net to find out they make a turbo header for our 3rd gens. A couple of guys from thirdgen.org already purchased some aswell. Looks like i have my future plans all set for me. I gonna get that stuff way in the future man. Looks the 305 has some hope.

92zcamaroperson
01-13-2006, 02:26 PM
In the mean time you could dig up a 305 and rebuild it over time. I wouldnt boost your old motor. At least not very much...

Link85x
01-13-2006, 02:30 PM
I know, i wouldn't boost that old thing, it only has 81000, but it has seen it's better days. I would build up one, with all forged stuff, some world products heads or get my heads heavly reworked. Long term project. In the mean time, i'm taking care of the suspension, it'll be fun when i hit those corners.

92zcamaroperson
01-13-2006, 02:34 PM
forget the stock heads. They will only hold you back. Some inexpensive after market heads will do you much better.

Link85x
01-13-2006, 03:00 PM
Thats where the world products come into to play. Can be had for about $700, fully assembled.

Sweet ride, I really like the red interior. When I got mine I didn't know about the red but it does grow on ya. I think that if you had some black foor mats up front though your interior would look ten times better.
