i know someone who is looking for a new car after they rolled their chevy blazer. looking for something smaller and safe. My question is how difficult is the maintance on Toyotas? I heard from someone who works in a automotive place that when ever a Toyota comes in for an oil change the guys get behind because they are such a "PITA" to work on. I never have worked on one so I don't know, but i have a hard time believeing that they are any harder then any other car.

IMO, they are medium-easy in difficulty to work on. They go together with precision and thing never need to be forced into place. As with any vehicle, the larger engines take up alot of space in the engine compartment and some access problems arise. They are not bad, over all.
