I need to install a mass air flow sensor for an early 1990s Plymouth Laser. I have never installed a sensor before.
Is all I have to do is disconnect the battery for 15 minutes so the computer will reset, remove the old sensor, put the new one in place, and reconnect the battery? Is it just that simple?
After I start the car up, do I need to drive it for a while so the computer can calibrate itself to the new sensor?
Thanks

yeah, its basically that simple. The computer will reset itself in about 15 seconds according to SCT. However, I have to ask. Is this new sensor calibrated for that MAF?

Nope. Just hook it up and go. The sensor simply gives feedback to the computer depending on how much air is being ingested, so its just plug and play.
