Problem on other car

Hey hey;
I've posted here a couple times about my backup car... which is an 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra. My baby is in pain, and I don't know whats wrong. Here's the situation:
The car idles poorly at times. When driving, and say like your braking, the car surges forward. Like the idle gets really high, and it wants to take off. Its in a steady rhythm. Even if your at a stop, the car wants to lurge forward, and you have to hold the brakes harder. When it does this, it usually dies then. Turns over right away 4/5 times. Sometimes, it's fine then. Other times, itll do it again, then be fine.
I took it to my mechanic to hook up to the computer. He couldn't find nothing. He cleaned the IAC and thats all. There's no CEL, and it's not constant. He couldn't find anything wrong at all. I've opened her up, cleaned the TB, and checked it all over. I can't see anything wrong neither.
Any ideas on what this can be? It idles funny, surges, then dies. Then, most of the time it runs fine then. It doesnt have to warm or cold. I came off the expressway one day and the thing did it. No specific time. Any ideas? Thanks

You might try posting in the cutlass forum, some of them seem to have the same problem. I found this thread in their forum. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=499735
No one has answered yet, but maybe someone will.

That forum is slow. There is never an answer to any question that I ask. It's easier and better to ask here IMO. Quick question that I know people will at least look at.
ISC? Being what?

I know where the Oldsmobile forum is, thank you very much. As I said before though, it's easier to ask here bc I know someone will at least read it, unlike over there.

HAHAHA. Nice.
I just need to get this fixed. She's my moms car, and my snow-mobile. New tires, and runs great. Just needs a little lovin every now and then. Only 53K miles too. She's staying as long as possible.

I don't know if you have found an answer to your car's problem. Sounds like your TPS(Trottle position Sensor) is going bad. Or the throttle body needs to be cleaned.
You may want to try this forum link here for blazers. There are a lot of good people in there and they will certainly read and answer your post and help if they can.
