Tire Rubbing

My bumper has sustained a crack in a very light brush-in with another car. Just sliding, low speed, into another car on ice in the driveway. This has caused the inside of the wheel well to pop loose, i believe, and is now rubbing my tire, making a horrible rubbing noise when I turn, and sometimes when I even go straight. Does anyone know a fix for this, or heard of a similar problem?

In might be the rain/splash guard...it wraps around the wheel well.

Make sure that the screws (they pop in and out) have not popped out!

I unbolted and took that rainguard thing out. Still making the noise. Now I'm inclined to think that it may be something in the rotor ??? No idea. I'm taking it in tonight, I was really hoping that it was the splashguard, since I could take that out and order a new one. Total bummer, cause I'm looking to do a ton of mods soon, and I don't want to pay for trivial things right now. I'll get a pic of it as soon as possible.

It could be the cv shaft, or even some suspesion problem (like a balljoint was going bad and that finished it off) Let us know what they tell ya at the shop.

I took the tire off and checked for road debris, hoping it'd be as simple as that, but it wasn't. It's starting to sound like bad bearings, so I'm going to replace both front wheels this afternoon and see if that can't fix it. Hopefully, cause if not I'm probably looking at spending some big $$$. And I was just about to do a bunch of shit to my baby. arrrgghh

What kind of rubbing is it? Cause a bearing would sound like metal on metal. If thats the case check the dust shield on the brakes thats pretty flexible and could make some noise if it was messed up.

I finally found what it was. Once i got it up on a proper lift, I noticed the wheel was freakin loose, so bearings. I bought a hub assembly for the front wheels, and once I got the wheel and brakes off, I started trying to work on the lug that holds it all to the driveshaft, and the damn thing is so gunked and rusted on there it won't budge. Not even with a impact wrench. I put some nut breaker stuff on there overnight, so I'm crossing my fingers that it'll come off after work today...

Yeah that nut can be a pain in the ass, what the torque rating on your impact? I've got one thats close to 700 ftlbs that usually works.

Well, I finally got that bolt off, after copious amounts of PB Blaster. Now the actual hub assembly won't ome off, so I added a bit more of the penetrating stuff, and we'll see today. I just hope this finally does it!
