How would someone get into NASCAR as a driver?
Are there classes?, Tryouts?

Luck of the draw, friend... Most of those guys have grown up racing. Karts to midgets to sprints, Modifieds, what have you. If you are good enough you step up to the next level and keep going till you make it to Winston Cup cars.
If your not good enough to cut it in Winston Cup you can become an F1 or Indy car driver...

Astroracer, you are about right with that, it takes a good driver and the right people to get you far in racing.. Umhum don't forget it takes MONEY as well. Im at the stage of racing full size asphalt stock cars. Now and hoping to improve to the next step.:)

You're right Scott... Money is an all important evil too isn't it...
I'm glad you like the truck. It's been dropped 4 & 6, has 17's all around with Nitto Extreme tires and a Hellwig sway bar.
I modified the Unlimited Products hood with the twin scoops and built the front bumper out of steel. I modified the Summit rear pan to remove the "doglegs" and add the exhaust cutouts. I body colored the door and tailgate handles, third brake light and step plates along with a bunch of interior pieces.
A lot of engine compartment pieces were painted white or JetHot coated along with the Edelbrock TES headers and I have added a Jacobs Pro Street Ignition and wires, a TBI spacer and Hypertech chip. If you look at any of the Car mags you have probably seen the truck in the Jacobs Ads.:D I'm not sponsored by them but I can attest their ignitions work very well...
I have a lot more to do to it this year but it's to damn cold here in MI. to even think about working on it right now...
